About the Author

Louise was born and raised in Pretoria.

She grew up in a home filled with cultural events, history, restoration and conservation of our heritage. Her father was a well-known cultural historian and her mother a gifted writer and artist.

Louise was raised in a bilingual home and writes in English and Afrikaans. She studied to become a Professional Nurse in Cape Town, and is still practicing in this profession. After her studies she lived and worked in Amsterdam for a few years.

Her passion for music and opera and her intense interest in people, their emotions and responses to life’s challenges are reflected in her writing.
